LinkedIn does not publish a South African price list, but it does document the tax: 15% VAT, applied to every customer, business or private. Here is the dated US-dollar list, the 30-second way to read your real rand number, and the route that costs less than either: activation on your own account from $25.
The Steepest Documented Tax in LinkedIn’s Table
Two facts shape what LinkedIn Premium really costs in South Africa, and only one of them is published. The published one is the tax: LinkedIn’s country-by-country tax help page (read 28 August 2026) says VAT is applied to all services for both private (B2C) and business (B2B) customers — at South Africa’s 15%, the steepest flat everyone-pays rate in LinkedIn’s published table. There is no exemption to apply for; a VAT-registered business pays it at checkout like everyone else and takes the recovery question to its accountant.
The unpublished fact is the price itself. LinkedIn issues no rand price list — its public plan pages quote US dollars, and the ZAR figure your account pays exists only inside that account. Both columns are USD on purpose. LinkedIn sets each regional list separately rather than converting, and with the rand’s exchange-rate swings, any “R equivalent” we printed today would mislead you within a month — the exact failure this page exists to avoid.
